BOSTON, MA April 19, 2004 -- 17,850 hardy marathoners faced brutally hot conditions at the 108th annual Boston Marathon. 16,743 succeeded in completing all 26.2 miles of the point to point course, perhaps the world's most famous marathon. Among the finishers were at least 61 Buffalo area runners.
