Local Runners To Stage Races and Rally You Are Invited SOUTH BUFFALO (19-SEP-2001) - In response to the tragic events of September 11, the local running community will participate in an event to generate funds for those who suffered directly. All runners, family, friends, acquaintances, and even couch potatoes are invited to come out and join in. Show your support for America. There is no entry fee. Voluntary donations, in any amount, will be gratefully accepted from participants and spectators. 100% of all funds collected will be turned over to the American Red Cross for their efforts in New York City. There will be a variety of events staged including running races and fun walks. Bob Laskowski of the South Buffalo Athletic Club announced today that the event will happen on Sunday October 14th from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the Jack Donohue Track located behind the Southside Elementary School. The school is located at 430 Southside Parkway in South Buffalo. Laskowski will welcome any form of support or donations including prizes, snacks, and drinks to be shared by all.
