JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge
Benefits the Running Community in WNY

By Dan and Alice Loncto

The JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge is the largest participatory corporate running event in the world. Races are held in 17 locations worldwide. The Buffalo race has been very successful - growing to almost 14,000 participants in 2000. The event brings co-workers together and promotes involvement in health and fitness at all levels.

The JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge also benefits the WNY running community in a big way. A portion of the race entry fee for each participant is used to promote running and health and fitness by contributing and supporting a number of initiatives each year.

Proceeds from the 2000 race benefited the following organizations:

Buffalo Police Athletic League
Western New York Jets
Pioneer Track Club
People to People
Berkshire Farms

In addition, the following running events were supported:

The Women’s Race
Greater Buffalo Track Club Half Marathon
The Parkway 10K

The Greater Buffalo Track Club and JP Morgan Chase will continue to use the proceeds from our Buffalo event to make the WNY running community the best.
