Great job by the race organizers. No matter how fit I think I am, this race shows me otherwise. A fabulous, unique event. Only one negative - the tremendous distance to run to the last water station. Perhaps it is an insurmountable problem in a race run on a mountain, but it would be nice to have a water stop somewhere in what feels like a 5 or 6 mile stretch without one.

I also ran the race today. That is a relatively long stretch between the water stops. This was my first time running this race, but I've worked it a couple times as a volunteer. Logistically there is no reasonable way to get a water stop out to that section of trail. The other water stops can be accessed by car.
